The hurdle house is the Salar style traditional houses. The house was relocated to Beijing from the Mengda village, Xunhua county of Qinghai province. The east room partially destroyed, as is now fixed. The houses are "L" shaped two-story building with flat roof. It is earth-wood structure house with part of wall made of red wicker fence and covered by mud. The rooms on first floor are used as living area and sundry room, the second floor used for the storage. The main room is located on the middle of the first floor that used for parlor purposes. There are kangs (the bed made of earth) located in the rooms on both wings. The kitchen and auxiliary rooms are located on the east.。
