Baanfeilong Tower of Dai

The word Baanfeilong in Dai language means a village under the leaves of a large banyan. Baanfeilong tower is a Holy Land in the Dai Buddhist. It is said that Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism had been here and the his foot prints is remain. This pagoda is exact replica of Baanfeilong Tower of Baanfeilong village in Menlong town, Jinhong city of Yunnan province. The style of the tower has typical club-like bases topped by calabash shaped bodies. The base is 13 meters in diameter and the main tower is 19 meters high. Other towers surrounded are 15 meters high.
