Lhoba Museum is exact replica of traditional dwellings in of Luo Yu area, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is built by local craftsmen according to the traditional construction technology. The site is planned as a home of forester. The vegetation and cultivation are also arranged according to local climate and environment. The museum has a construction area of 80 square meters that covers a ground area of 250 square meters. The building work was completed in 2003 and the museum was open to the public in 2004.
The indoor and outdoor display of the Lhoba Museum is live setting of traditional production and lifestyle of Lhoba people. All exhibit items are collected from Luoyu area, Tibet Autonomous Region. The items are dating from the Qing Dynasty (1616-1911) to modern times, about two hundred years of history.
