Blang Museum is exact replica to the traditional residential in Menghai and Lincang region, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. It was built by local craftsmen according to the traditional construction technique and local custom. The residence is a courtyard that composed by stilt hut, melon frames, grain-sunning ground and wooden bridge. Crops are grown around the yard according to the local climate. The building was built in 2004 and open to the public in the same year.
The Blang Museum covers an area of 213 square meters, construction area of 122 square meters. The indoor exhibits are live settings to reveal the traditional production, lifestyle of Blang. All exhibits are collected from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province. The time span of collections ranging from the Qing Dynasty(1616-1911) to modern times, about 200 years of history.
